Three things decide which pickup works best and how much you pay.
Insurance and deposit

One-way drop-off
You do not have to return the car where you collected it. A one-way car rental lets you finish at a different airport or coastal town for a fee shown at checkout.
City delivery

Airport or city pickup?
If you are flying in, collecting at the airport is almost always simpler: the car is a short walk from arrivals and you avoid a transfer into town. Delivery, and why most people never see a rental desk

What changes between one pickup point and another
The location decides three things and leaves everything else alone. It decides the size of the choice, since the inland fleet is deepest around the capital and the coastal points are smaller and busier in season, which shows up as fewer cars in the cheap classes in August rather than as no cars at all. And it decides whether a one-way is even offered, because that is a property of the individual car and the specific combination rather than of the town. What it does not change is the terms: the free Minimum cover, the paid Basic, Full and no-deposit Full Plus tiers, the refundable deposit on most cars, and the fact that most cars need no credit card.
